Information... School
Hours
Children in Grades 1-8 are to report to the schoolyard at 8:00 AM.
Pre-K and Kindergarten children meet in the small schoolyard on Windsor
Place. Children are considered late if they arrive after 8:10 AM.
Dismissal is at 2:40 PM every day except Wednesday when the children are
dismissed at 12:30 PM.
School Calendars
are distributed monthly and contain important information regarding
upcoming events, fund-raising activities, testing schedules and early
dismissals/days off. (Click Here to see online

Fund Raising
is necessary in order to provided a quality education for every child
while maintaining reasonable tuition fees. Each family is asked to pledge
themselves to financially supporting the fund raising activities during
the course of the school year. All other Fund raisers, such as wrap
sales, raffle sales, Jean Days, Frank and Soda Days and Bake Sales are
strictly optional but participation is fully encouraged.
Special Content Classes
include Library, Physical Education, Music, Computer for grades Pre-K to
8th, Art and Spanish for grades 1-8.
Service Hours
are a requirement for every family. Thirty hours of service are
mandatory or an additional fee of $300.00 will be imposed. There are
service numerous opportunities to fulfill this requirement throughout the
school year.
Transportation
Metro Cards are provided for students who use public transportation to
travel to school. Presently, we have four yellow bus lines servicing
our school with the possibility of more for next year depending upon the
home addresses of our enrollment.
The Uniform Code
All school uniforms are provided through Arista/Scholastic.
Girls – Grade 1-5:
* Green/Blue plaid jumper with white shirt with a Peter
Pan collar (short/long sleeves),
* Navy award sweater with white v-neck
stripe, and
* Navy knee sock/tights with black or
navy tied/buckled shoes.
Girls - Grades 6 -8: *
Green/Blue plaid pleated skirt with white insignia shirt (short/longed
sleeves),
* Navy
long sleeve V-neck pullover sweater, and
* Navy
knee socks/tights with black/navy tied/buckled shoes.
Boys – Grades 1- 8:
* Navy trousers with white insignia shirt (short/Long sleeves),
* Navy
award sweater with emblem/ V-neck sweater, and
* Black
or navy tied or buckled shoes.
Pre-K & Kdgn. All
children will wear Holy Name Sweatshirts/Tee Shirts, HNS Sweatpants, and
sneakers.
Absolutely
NO sneakers are to be worn with the Normal School Uniform. Sneakers; can
only be worn with the Gym Uniform or on Jeans Day.
After
School
The Holy Name Enrichment
Program provides supervised activities for students from
dismissal time until 6:00PM. There is an additional fee for this
service.
Extra
Curricular Activities
include Choir, Chess Club, Aquinas Circle, Student Council and Yearbook
Committee.
