Holy Name School Choir

The choir was formed in order to provide music / singing at school liturgies and para-liturgies. The group now sings liturgical music such as Gregorian chant and Psalm Chants unaccompanied. Mrs. Newman, the director, believes that the chanting of the psalms is especially enriching because choir members become immersed in the language and spirit of scripture.

The choir is open to all students in grades 1 – 8. Currently, there are 12 members from grades 1 – 6. The members meet twice a week before school for practice / rehearsal.
